We all know that engaged, motivated and happy employees perform better, experience less burnout, and stay in organisations longer. But how do we get to that point? What are the key factors that influence employee engagement and satisfaction?
According to the latest research, company culture is the number one element that attracts potential employees and keeps them invested in your company. A positive and supportive culture fosters a sense of belonging, purpose, and growth among your employees. It also enables them to work effectively and creatively with their colleagues and customers.
At All Method, we have developed a comprehensive framework based on our 4 C’s hierarchy of cultural needs. Our four C’s are:
Communication, Collaboration, Curiosity and Creativity.
Each one builds on the previous one to develop a strong culture where employees can work effectively and with purpose.
Communication:
The foundation of any culture is clear and honest communication. Employees need to feel heard, understood, and respected by their managers and peers. They also need to receive regular and constructive feedback on their performance and development.
Collaboration:
The next level of culture is collaboration. Employees need to feel that they are part of a team that works together towards a common goal. They also need to have the opportunity to learn from and share their knowledge and skills with others.
Curiosity:
The third level of culture is curiosity. Employees need to feel that they are encouraged and supported to explore new ideas and opportunities. They also need to have the freedom and autonomy to experiment and innovate.
Creativity:
The highest level of culture is creativity. Employees need to feel that they are valued and recognised for their unique contributions and talents. They also need to have the challenge and excitement of creating something new and meaningful.
We use this framework as the foundation for our All Method Culture Development programme and it also features in our unique All Method Management System (more on that in a future post). We would love to talk with you about how we can be your partner in developing a thriving workforce.
